Ok this is me in a nutshell and I hate writing these things so I'll make it short and sweet: My name is Thema (pronounced Tayma) which means "Queen" in swahili. Quite fitting don't you agree? ;-D Now with that out of the way, I'll give ya a little background info...Born and raised in Detroit, I moved to New York in 2000 to pursue a career in the music industry. I lived there for 3 yrs before moving back to the D. While in NY I was in an R&B trio called Lyric. We were signed to J Records for a little over 2 years and had a single and video out a while back called Young & Sexy which featured Loon from Bad Boy. Oh, and if any of you have played NBA Live 2003 you may have heard the song on there also. Anyway, you can check out the video below. I then joined a couple other groups over the next few years that didn't pan out for different reasons so I have now decided to venture off on my own.
