DJ Supreme is not only an accomplished club DJ and artist, he has also spoken on panels and given speeches and lectures about DJ history and hip-hop philosophy. Supreme proved his excellence as a show performance/battle DJ when he won 1st place in the 1991 DJ Battle For World Supremacy. Supreme recorded and toured the world with Lauryn Hill, on her solo LP “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill†and has also performed and toured with some of Hip-Hops best artists, including dead prez, Common, Killah Priest, Sticky Fingaz/Onyx, Product G&B, and The Crash Crew. Currently, Supreme is touring with Ladybug Mecca from Diggable Planets, and is also working with Fred Da God, recently signed to Def Jam. In addition to being a musician on the turntables, Supreme is also a tap dancer and is well known for incorporating his tap-dancing talents while DJing, adding an element of excitement and surprise to his audience. Supreme is the first to incorporate tap-dance into DJ routines by syncopating and coordinating tapping with "turntablist" scratching and beat juggling. He performs for his audience unlike any other DJ because he uses his DJing opportunities as a stage to illustrate that the DJ is his own musical identity as an artist himself, in addition to one that plays other records.
