About Me
Lets deal with the past, for me it was a great time for me, HIP HOP and music as a whole. I have worked with so many. I would have to break it down by era's.Big Luttz, Mike Twade, and me were the house of funk. Nebulous is Me, Vinny "The Vision", Uncle Cam,KT, 7, Warchild,Prittz and other artist!!!
In the early years I was one of the first cats in my hometown "New Rochelle NY" To make beats. Shawn B was able to get a Casio SK-1 and I was off to the races. When I lived on Morris st in New Roc I would take any ones old played radios, tape decks, turn tables and make use of them. In the 80's when I thought I could be like Momma Duke or John Hollis I was quickly put in my place by the first Dj I met that I thought was the hottest in America, Woofy from city park. He made me literally give up on my Dj dreams of Dee Jaying for he was doing things on those turntables that I could only watch and wonder why I couldnt. Around this time Shawn B and me met Andre "SONGMASTER" Brown. All my new roc heads remember those sentras he drove. This cat was the first person I personally knew with a studio in new ro that was in his aunts basement and SB and me would go to his house and sit for hours just to listen. We met Shawn W "Dj Supreme" Lauren hills Dj around this time. He and songmaster recorded and produced SBs first two songs and me. I fell in love with the sp -1200 and the ep's at the same time. This is when I really started producing. I had been making up music on that Casio for about a year or so but this is when I started to go and get it. I did everything from break dance to tag walls. I had a black book, Nikes, lee jeans, jean jacket and markers. I popped and had the opportunity to dance for the New York City breakers when Mike S and Travis E brought them to New Roc............ IS any one going to give up that tape of me popping at twelve???????? I was one of the nicest, LOL.Song master eventually let Sib and me hold his gear and the first studio was set up on Horton ave in New Roc. I remember the day we met Vance Wright Slick Rick's Dj. He walked out of his apartment in New Roc, which was two doors away from my apartment with an Eps plus keyboard. We thought at the time that we were the only ones to have that board and we were like what are you doing with that???? Then my FAM at the time was like "Isn't that the guy, that DJs for Slick Rick?????? Vance was cool as hell. He introduced us to Jayson And Grayson, Damn I go back, lol. Around this time me and SB started making beats for Kasim of the Inviseez, Sadat X of Brand Nubians, and any other artist in New Roc that were willing to rock on our beats. God Bless Myshaun, him and Taykeem were some of the first young cats I did beats for.I guess to a degree I avoided the bio aspect of myspace for many reasons but I feel now is a good time to share a lil about me here. Musicaly I have worked with countless artists, in and out of the industry. I have been blessed with hip hop and music as a whole. I have been told many times that I'm talented "Who knows?"! the state of music right now has had me stuck and confused. As much work as I have put in to music, I some times think it's completely in vain when I see how people blatently attempt to destroy our greatest language. For all my rappers, singers, musicians, writers, producers, etc, PLEASE do the best you can so this musical drought can end. Ill add on soon, I'm going to bed.
