My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I find people very interesting and enjoy meeting people all the time. I have traveled since I was a kid (Air Force Family) and know people from all around the world. I find our differences fascinating. I would like to meet Lena Horne, Dick Gregory, Oprah Winfry, Shirley McLaine, Bill Cosby, and Maya Angelou. There are also many wonderful dancers that I never had a chance to meet....I would loved to have heard their stories..............Baby Laurence, Alice Whitman and Sisters, Lois Bright of Miller Brothers and Lois, Teddy Hale and Juanita Pitts and Louise Madison to name a few. Cherish friendships and relationships.... ask your questions and "Listen".............the time is sometimes cut short........I really miss Gregory Hines!!!

Music:

I really enjoy all kinds of music, however, Jazz is my favorite. I listen and learn from Oscar Peterson, Gene Harris, Horace Silver, Sonny Criss, Jimmy Scott, Teddy Edwards and all of Jazz's leading Ladies, Sarah, Ella, Dinah, Carmen, Dakota, and many others. I also love the contemporary sounds of Sade, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott(Hidden Beach Recordings) and Alicia Keys. I also like hip-hop (instrumentals).

Movies:

I like movies, but I really enjoy great actors and actresses and tend to follow them through their careers...and there are many. My favorite themes are courtroom dramas (You see, the truth is, "On My Way to Law School, I Met a Tap Dancer". Some of my favorites are; I Want To Live; Primal Fear; To Kill a Mockingbird; The Other Side of Midnight, Madame X, Anatomy of a Murder, and A Few Good Men. And of course, the movie TAP and HAPPY FEET top my list!!!!

Television:

Right now, my favorite is Greys Anatomy................I try to watch Oprah when I can. And the game shows of the 70's keep me laughing...and that is a good thing....................

Books:

Last book I read was "Stolen Lives", by Malika Oufkir....a fascinating, true, story about a woman (and her family) imprisoned in the desert for over twenty years).........I read all of John Grishams work and I am currently reading "Dangerous Doses, by Katherine Eban (about the contaminated drug supply)......interesting and informative..............I am anxiously awaiting to hear from Michael Moore on the subject.
