Blessed are Those Who Struggle

About Me

Keep Tellin Em , also known as 'K-Tem' , hails from Chicago and was steeled in the slums of both its south and west sides of town. Raised in the infamous neighborhoods of Austin and Englewood by a courageous mother of three who migrated from the south to escape the parasitic system of share-cropping. His environment coupled with his family roots made keeptellinem develop a keen awareness of the streets and a sort of empathy for activism. Ktem made his debut on Chicago's 50-Man Cypher mixtape with over fifty of the rawest emcees under and above ground. Keep Tellin Em is his self-projected mandate. His powerful verses embody truth and are cause for his audience to reflect while at the same time bounce. He is a born lyricist who addresses the ups and downs of life but with an engaging delivery. His community describes him as a self-educated urban- scholar. Keeptellinem has made a name for himself with a rare and 'true to form' style that will undoubtedly 'shake the norms'.Keep Tellin'em 's music sounds like gangsta rap with a hint of ole' negro spirituals and savvy 'rewind-me-back' messages. After years of 'backward-hustling' as an artist Keep Tellin Em has now involved himself in several projects to assist the indie/up and coming artist.Hear Keep Tellin Em (KTEM) on independent films like 'Comatose' ('ooga booga') and 'Partyline'( 'party ova here').Keep Tellin Em produced and directed Mic Pow's music video 'Focused' - check it out below or on youtube. Ktem is also responsible for the rap phenom Lunatic tha Messiah's LP track entitled 'Freaky' which also features Ang-13.
