About Me

The voice of up and coming artist Angela Predhomme is beginning to be heard and felt in the music industry and around the world. From connecting with national music organizations and being heard by major label publishers to increasing worldwide internet radio play on Live365 and iTunes radio stations, her music and songwriting credits are consistently growing. Recent comments from a Nashville Music Row executive include, “vocals are a 10 out of 10,” and “excellent songwriting.”
Future exposure is a good bet, with her songs being licensed for film, tv and web media through several international companies, the most recent being Pump Audio/Getty Images. Angela’s song, “Everything is Alright” received placement in Canadian video/tv production Great Dives and has captured the interest of a major television company. This song also appears on the Songwriters Anonymous compilation, a benefit cd by a group of active Michigan singer/songwriters who produced a cd to benefit local internet radio station Ann Arbor Alive, a strong supporter of independent music. Her music continues to turn heads in a highly competitive market, with multiple placements in national songwriting contests.
This growing musical success would not be possible without the skilled direction, production and instrumental work of her collaborators. Finishing production on her debut full-length cd this year, she has been supported by her former guitar teacher and current producer, Scott Christopher. Scott’s precise, elegant guitar work can be heard on many of Angela’s recordings. His playing also appears on “Passing the Days,” which was produced and mastered by Marshall Block of Real II Reel Production.
Aside from the far reach of her recordings, Predhomme performs throughout Michigan. This summer, she returns to Mackinac Island for a third year of performing on this beautiful resort island in northern Michigan. Mackinac Island’s claim to fame was as the location for the film Somewhere in Time, starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. In acoustic solo performances, Angela carries a rhythm that makes listeners tap their feet while enjoying her smooth and expressive vocals. This summer, she is performing at Mission Point Resort and The Pink Pony.
Although she did not pursue music professionally until later in life, it has been said that it sounds like she’s been doing it forever. In fact, music has been her number one passion since childhood. Angela began piano lessons at age 10, frequently adding improvisation and enjoying playing along with records. Early on, she was influenced by both the 50’s R & B that her dad listened to and her mom’s pop albums, which included masters of melody Carol King and Barry Manilow. Growing up in the Detroit area where Motown music invokes a special pride, Angela was exposed to the great work of artists like Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson. Major influences include The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Ray Charles, and phenomenal vocalists KD Lang, Bonnie Raitt, Sarah McLaughlin, Jewel and Norah Jones.
Always striving to grow as a composer, singer and musician, she never stops analyzing music theory and pushing herself as a singer and composer. With the goal of making music that can stand up with the best of the best, Angela will continue to develop her honest, thoughtful songwriting, and her passionate, bluesy voice.
