Mix an explosive blast of guitars, a thumping rhythm section,
hard hitting vocals then blend it all up with some infectious
harmonies and you have Grasp.
The initial impression of Grasp is an almost spooky feeling
of deja vu. The band have achieved what no-one in music
has achieved (although so many have tried) since the mid-60's
in that they have captured the energy, emotion and sound of
1965 vintage Rolling Stones. I defy anyone to listen to
Andy Taylor's sneering vocals without hearing Mick Jagger.
People often criticize bands for not being original and
inform them that this sound has already been done, Grasp
however move above the similarities into something else
entirely with the quality of the music making the sound
fresh and enjoyable to all.
Often described as one of the most hard working unsigned
bands in the country, Grasp travel the length and breadth of
England taking their music to their supporters old and new.
Example of Towns visited to date are Hull, Leeds, Barnsley,
Derby, Portsmouth, Rotherham, Bedford, Shegness, Halifax,
Nottingham, Lowestoft plus many more too numerous to
mention. A visit to Germany has also opened new horizons
and the possibility of further dates on the continent are
always being discussed.
