TURTLEMAN born in West Kingston Jamaica. While he lived in Hanna Town with his Mother until the age of nine, she decided to move Turtleman from the rough city streets to the countryside with his Grandmother in Good Hope, Negril Westmoreland. It was his Grandmother who introduced him to the livity of Rasta, Righteousness. She provided a healthy environment that consisted of school, church, love and respect for woman and all mankind. He started to rap at the age of nine and at the age of fifteen, Turtleman started to hit the dancehalls, clubs and house parties to try and get on the Microphone. His popularity started to grow; he was invited to DJ competitions where he battled with other DJs for cash prize. At seventeen, Turtle traveled across Jamaica with sound systems - Young Gemini, TG, MXIII - to expose him and the music. Sleeping in the back of a truck or on the speaker box...often disrespected by selectors, he decided to take a break for a couple of years to plant G. One night, while sleeping in the woods where he watched over the herb fields, he heard footsteps and a voice telling him to go back to making music. And, from there on, his talent for writing music and voicing lyrics has been unstoppable.
