About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!Terminal DG – Born & raised in Mandeville Jamaica is known as a people person. He was blessed with a natural lyrical freestyling talent. As child he was nicknamed DG. He would travel to dances and jump up on stage begging for the mic from John Pep’s Sound all over Manchester and Clarendon Parish where Bimbo (later knows as Garnett Silk) and Tony Rebel were performing. While in basic school and at West Indies College he would always win regular dj competitions – his songs were always sensible last minute creations. When DG came to Canada his new friends nicknamed him Terminal. They used an analogy to compare him to a battery. He could dj for hours on several different topics without stopping. Terminal is known as a Freestyle King – he listens to a riddim without having a clue what he’s going to say until he starts. . His head is like a mixer. He has the ability to separate a riddim from its lyrics and dj over other DJ’s voices without missing a beat.He has a voice that sounds like no other – he changes it up in a heartbeat. People have been known to say that he sounds like Buju Banton, Jigsy King and Terro Fabulous but he stays true to sounding like Terminal DG.He has recorded songs with Frankie Paul, Colin Roach, Jigsy King, Johnny Osborne, Singing Melody, Edge Michael and Harry Toddler to name a few; has performed on stage with Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, Coco Tea, Tony Rebel and Warrior King; has worked alongside Courtney John (frmrly kwn as Yogie) and Len Hammond out of BulletProof and MaddMobb Recording Studios and has made dubs for sounds like Matterhorn, MetroMedia in Jamaica along with sounds from Canada, England and Japan.Terminal frequently travels back and forth to Jamaica to record his tunes. While in JA he regularly stops on the side of the road to dj for street vendors, zinc shop entrepreneurs and anyone that passes by. He is a people person – always trying to please everyone. He asks people for a topic and starts flipping the lyrics. He can easily make 20 songs in a day – Terminal is also known as the Punchline King. He tests the waters and decides which songs to record based on feedback from the people – in entertainment the PEOPLE come first!!Ron Nelson of Reggaemania and 88.1FM CKLN has really supported and helped Terminal’s career. Ron provides good constructive criticism and plays his songs regularly. Major Toronto commercial and community radio stations have also supported the cause - FLOW 93.5FM, CIUT 89.5FM and CHRY 105.5FM.Now working with Sly Francis in Negril, Ron Muschette of Irie FM and more recently with TruckBack Records he is ready for the road. He has just recently finished filming the Pon Di Block Video and has 400 songs to choose from to complete his latest album – Question is – Which songs will he choose? The people will decide!
