’Desolation Yes!’ is a collaboration between well established musicians in their own rights. Since formation, the band has moved from strength to strength, amassing a fanbase keen on the unique DY! sound.
Gone are the set roles of music. Constantly swapping over and changing instruments mid song keeps the sound fresh and interesting. D.J’s and sound engineers alike have been deeply impressed with the technical and workmanship of the music, whilst retaining its hard edge.
The band released the debut double A-side single ’Templeton (Shine like a star) / Instinct’ through Neon Tetra Records to critical acclaim. The album ’CyberNation’ has been recorded at Chem19 Studios and is scheduled for release 2008. With support slots for the likes of Howling Bells, NoMeansNo, Simian, Jubilee, Clearlake and the Vessels and a past residency at Glasgow’s Blackfriars - DY! are established as a leading force on the Glasgow music circuit.
