Lupus release debut 10th of April

About Me

Lupus, a Danish almost all girl band, was formed in September 2000, when Cecilie & Louise ran into one another at the Copenhagen venue Stengade30. They then decided to resume their musical collaboration which began, back in 1995 in their hometown Odense. Malene, who had previously played in a band with Cecilie, joined in and the band continued with different drummers untill Thomas came along in the spring of 2002.Lupus combines the energy from Rock n´ Roll with tuneful pop melodies. This, together with two voice vocal harmonies and a dynamic rhythmic groove, makes Lupus a quite exceptional experience. The lyrics deal with the city; nightlife, relationships, friendships and life in general .Lupus is inspired by other bands like Lush, Elastica, Eurythmics and New Order.Lupus is releasing their debut album "Hold Me Up Against the Light Like Money" the 10th of April 2006. The album was recorded at the legendary Tambourine Studio in Malmø, Sweden and in Black Tornado in Copenhagen. The album is produced by Morten Bue, who has previously been involved with great Danish artists such as Diefenbach, Figurines, Jens Unmack and Moi Caprice. The band is signed at White-Out, which is the record label of former Swan Lee drummer (Danish Platinum selling act).
