FAQs
Astic Borders' core and founding members are Beth Dariti & Adrian Roye. We re-united a few years ago, after having gone to high school together and started jamming 3 years ago. We soon realised how compatible this collaboration was, and clicked. After 2 years of extensive gigging around London, decided to have a joint project for what we have been doing, we named it the Astic Borders; collective. The name popped into my mind (Beth) while driving somewhere. In fact, Adrian and I were passengers in the car as neither of us can drive, but imagine a sun setting and a lot road in the middle of the desert. It was nothing like that, but oh well! The collective is based on collaboration and love of music. Will Jenkins is also now a Border! Dana Immanuel is a regular guest and Charli Thompson has been known to pop onstage with her flute or bodhran.
FAQs
1) What type of drum is Adrian playing? Why it is a West African Djembe.
2) Are those shoe brushes? Yes, they add a nice gentle effect. Plus, we like to keep trim and our shoes clean.

3) Is Dariti Greek then too?: Yep. It's a shortened version of a long name. (pronounced "dah-reatee")
4) Is Adrian's hair extension? No, all real dreads!
5) Who writes the songs? We both do, usually the one who sings the most wrote the lyrics.
6) Can I buy a cd?: You can, when we have one. For the time being enjoy the tracks here on MySpace or buy Adrian Roye's debut album "Welcome To One Man Town". Beth's album "In-Between" can be bought soon from her MySpace and website.
7) When are you coming to play in my town?: Well, where do you live?
