A daughter wishing to one day make her folks say “were so proud of you.”
A grand daughter to the souls of 4 beautiful people…now physically gone.
A sister whose generosity and kindness goes unappreciated…yet continues to lend a hand.
I am a friend to those who have never experienced the love, and compassion of a friend. When I say friend, im talking about the true meaning, which many of yall have forgotten.
I am a woman who walks with her head held high no matter whats been said.
I was a woman who has been hurt by the negativity spread by another.
I will be that woman who is beautiful beyond measures.
Why?
I’ve discovered liberation in a world so dark and corrupt.
I’ve stumbled across the ability to see beauty in all.
I’ve grasped the gifts of smiles and laughter.
I’ve been blessed to wake up each day to share my knowledge and love.
I am in love with an image of a life where we’ll all be “free.”
I was in love with a being who didn’t understand how to treat a QUEEN.
I will be the woman who all can turn to whether your days are dark, or bright.
This aint a poem, nor a rhyme…I have thoughts going through my head that flash quicker than my lips can speak.. So Im just sharing.
Some may think Im "crazy", but I really could care less. I've been done caring what people think is “right/wrong”, “normal/not normal”, “sane/insane”. You get the idea.
To all who read this, and to all who can feel what a sista is saying. I have nothing but love, and respect for yall. To those who don’t get a thing from this… all I can do is shrug my shoulders. I have no other words for you because I’m not here for your judgment.
A Bit About Me
Born Into a multi-cultural family. I feel very blessed to be brought up with so many different cultures and I thank God everyday for making me who I am, and for blessing me with amazing parents, as well as my miracle, my Daughter.
Music is my first love, as most of you already know. In short, if theres music involved, so am I. Im forever creating different things here and there. I love Soul, Jazz, Hiphop, Acoustic, Alternative, etc. Once again, I love music...so when you hear a track from me, expect it to be different. My music reflects who I am.
To all my fellow artists, If you have something that you need feedback on, poetry, a beat, whatever it is, just let a sista know. I'll get back ASAP.
