"A smiley, thinky, twirly, motivated dreamer"I'm a musician - Lead singer and guitarist in The REX (formerly JEEPSTER), a tribute to Marc Bolan and T.Rex. I also play drums in Templeton Peck, The Skin Imps, The Loose Kites and The Storkers as well as session drumming for other local acts. I frequent many jam nights playng harmonica, drumming, singing and drinking.

There are many influences and things that make my ears wet including T.Rex, The Doors, The Beatles (plus some subsequent solo offerings), The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Mitch Mitchell rules), Stevie Wonder (He's not just 'I just Called....!'), The Kinks, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bowie, Lou Reed, Nick Drake, Led Zep, The Who, Cream, The Faces, The Small Faces, Manfred Mann, John Mayall,Chuck Berry, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Bo Diddley, B.B King, T-Bone Walker..... more recent offerings include The Killers, Kings of Leon and The Divine Comedy. You may notice there are no dance based outfits in my list although I freely admit there is the odd dancey song that gets in my head and as much as I want it to leave.... it won't. Local Chester-based unsigned bands include Jeepster, The Skin Imps, Templeton Peck, Real Crazy Apartment. the loose kites and The Invisible Wires'. x

As a kid I was into (and still am!): The A-Team, The Young Ones, Bottom, Red Dwarf, Knight Rider, Grange Hill, The Moomins, Willow the Wisp,Rainbow, Monkey, Knightmare, Jamie and the Magic Torch, He-Man, Danger Mouse, Godzilla (and Godzuki), Mr T, Defenders of the Earth, The Cosby Show, Different Strokes, Dukes of Hazzard !As an adult I begrudge paying a TV license fee when 90% if T.V is garbage. However, some shows make it all worthwhile: Red Dwarf, The Simpsons, Six Feet Under, Planet Earth, Shameless, Friends, The Office, The Mighty Boosh, Many Beeb documentaries (music/film biogs, psychology), Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy, Only Fools and Horses...............
Currently 'researching' children's literature: Dahl, Rowling, Pullman, De Larrabeiti. I have an interest in short story authors/illustrators e.g. Beck, Donaldson & Scheffler, Waddell (next ambition - to have a children's book published!)
