Like-minded wyrdos...but not too like, just so the conversation stays interesting. Folks who know more than I do about things I'm interested in. The person who created this video:
Blues Family: Jazz, Rock (Heavy Metal, Punk, Prog, "Classic" late-60s/early-70s: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and the Stones are only the tip of a whole iceberg of cool!), Blues proper (as in Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, & co.). Classical. Outlaw Country. Celtic. Zakk Wylde & BLS. Rob Zombie. System of a Down. Tool. Mars Volta. Spirit. Traffic. Spooky Tooth. The Reverend Horton Heat. Atomic Rooster. Slayer. King Crimson. No time for it, and nothing good on anyway. I do like to catch the Sunday Night animated shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. South Park. I miss Futurama but don't have cable, or any intention of getting it. Classic stuff like the Addams Family, Get Smart, Time Tunnel, The Prisoner, Dr. Who, the original Outer Limits, Original Star Trek, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Warner Brothers animation; Twin Peaks; The X-Files; Millenium; Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Guilty pleasures: Dark Angel; That 70s Show (once had an idea for a drinking game: One drink for every glaring anachronism. Two problems with this: Not enough friends who watched the show--honestly can't blame them--and you'd get sooo hammered. Wait, is that a problem?). All in all, I'd rather read.
Crowley (got a halfway decent collection already). Science Fiction and Horror. Crime Fiction like Raymond Chandler, Jim Thompson, James Lee Burke, John Connally. Zelazny's Amber Chronicles. HP Lovecraft and co., Robert Price's Chaosium editions of same. Dirt on Scripture (all faiths). Occult stuff, especially if it's original and/or source. No Magic-In-The-Box please! Graphic Novels like Sandman, Hellblazer, Preacher, Walking Dead, Fables (not to mention Robert Crumb, the Freak Brothers, and Watchmen). Tolkien, duh. Robert Holdstock's Mythago Wood series. Tim Powers. Clive Barker. Phillip K. Dick.
