I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm in the process of gradually updating my page, and I hope to put loads of more stuff on here, since I always like to look at creative, imaginative, challenging, enlightning stuff on other people's profiles. Being the perfectionist I am, I was planning to updating my profile, in one round, and leaving it all finished and fresh for you people to see, but since my life is pretty chaotic atm, I've ended up, updating small stuff every once in a while.
Therefore pls see my page as a "Work in progress" hehe

This is a film I helped make: I will soon upload clips from all the films I've made:
The Intro to my first documentary. I filmed the opening shot, with the pan of the Danish sunset :) One of the few things I've ever done that I'm proud of.
About me
I'm 25 years old, live in Copenhagen and dream about making films. I've studied film at "The European Film College" in Ebeltoft, Denmark, and "Kort og Dokumentarfilmskolen" (The school for Short Film and Documentary" in filmbyen, Lyngby, also Denmark. However there is still a long way to go before I can consider myself a real film maker, and I'm sometimes in great bewilderment as to, if it the right direction for me to take in life.

My nick-name is "Nat", which means "Night" in Danish, because it's both the beginning of my name and I like the peace - staying up long dark night to be alone, listen to music, think about life or work on some kind of strange project of mine ;)
The photographs on this page, are all mine, and I think they illustrate pretty good, how I see the world, and the kind of photography I am doing at the moment.
Abit more about me:
I am very curious to other cultures, and I wish to someday travel the world, meeting new people and practising the many languages I've learned in school.
Since I currently have no money to travel anywhere, I'll like to meet new friends from all over the world in MySpace! Therefore if you think I sound interesting, and you like my art, pls write to me, and I'll be happy to write back. (maybe not the same day, but sooner or later)

I'm passionate about things from other culture & part of the world. I love foreign films, music from far away, reading novels taking place somewhere else than Denmark.
I especially like the Japanese culture. Or more precisely; I am fascinated by it, being both attracted and repulsed by some parts of it. I especially like Japanese films, Japanese penpals & Japanese music - everything from classical shamisen, J-Pop to modern J-Reggae & Dancehall.
It is also a great way for me to keep practising my Japanese.
I have studied Japanese language for two years at the evening school, however only once a week, so it's going pretty slow. I'm also writing about japanese culture in a news portal, and arranging the largest festival/convention for Japanese popular culture in Scandinavia; J-Popcon!
I hope to go to Japan and film someday, maybe directing a small documentary.

I also really like to photograph - I take mainly pictures of nature and landscapes, although I live in a big city. I'm not professional, and cannot possibly make a living of it, but as long as I enjoy it, I think it has some kind of purpose! You can see a few of my pics here, and I'm trying to refresh the selection every once in a while. Feel free to comment!

LOOKING FOR INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS/BANDS!!!
Who would like to contribute to a documentary / other film work of mine
As a young aspirering filmmaker making non-commercial films, I can't possibly pay thousands of money to use a given music track in my films.
That's why I would really like to get in contact with MySpace Music artists who will allow me to use their music freely in my works. I would deply appreciate it :D
I rarely use more than 30 sec, and I always credit the artist properly. If I get accepted to a festival or earn money from my films in any way, I will of course share it with the musician!
Really hoping to hear from some nice people out there!

I'd like to meet:

It is not important for me to show a list of tens-of-thousands of friends. I therefore decline all friends request from random people, with a bare and empty profile, pointless profiles with 10000000s of friends, just looking for a way to boost that number. Or bad rock, metal, hip hop, etc. bands, whose music I mostly don't care about. I like to take the time to look at the profile of each person who request my friendship.

However, I do treasure people, who take time to write me a proper greeting, share their thought on arts/music/life etc. People who are creative, open, curious or the likes. These are the kind of people I'm looking for on MySpace.
