Heiðrik is a musician from the Faroe Islands and, having been inspired by the 80s’ surreal nature and the 90s’ pop dance scene, Heiðrik’s music can be described as complex, danceable and imaginative.
The album An Invisible Gun, produced by electro-duo High Hat (Sakaris Joensen & Janus Rasmussen), Brynjolf á Heygum and Heiðrik himself, showcases a wide range of material, ranging from synth-pop tracks to haunting choirs and pulsating electronic beats. The lyrical content draws heavily from Heiðrik’s daydreams and frustration in his isolated country. His filmic and surreal imagination depicts stories about children trapped in adult bodies and emotional turmoil on a deserted island.
The album is mixed by The Knife mixer, Christoffer Berg, at the highly regarded Music-A-Matic vintage studio in Sweden.
