Video: EPK - Live Excerpts /’Zero’
Black Patterns From Saturn is a American/Japanese duo. Koba Mitsutoshi is from (Japan) and Nani Rueben is from (CA). The band has been categorized as a twist of psych/shoegaze/new folk. The two musicians Nani Rueben (CA) and Koba Mitsutoshi (Japan) crossed paths in San Diego California and formed Black Patterns From Saturn. Within less than a year of forming the band gained international acknowledgment after appearing on a compilation by an up-and-coming record label( UK label Stolen Recordings --Voted "2007 DIY Label Of The Year" )
Additionally, the duo released an EP ’Satire On Satan?’ containing the song (Zero) which was featured on the compilation. The EP is available at their shows/ website and select locations.

VARIOUS - STOLEN RECORDINGS COMPILATION
--Voted compilation of 2007 by Soundsxp.com
Release Date: 02/07/2007
"This is the second compilation from stolen recordings and it’s limited to 500 copies in their usual high quality packaging. it contains music from britain, europe, america and japan. and is impossible to describe simply. the ’great british weird’ of the factory owners, mathew saywer and the ghosts ’stunning depth and wistfulness’, californian / japanese fuzz from black patterns from saturn, the ghost of flying nun manifesting in a 19 year old from london with artefacts for space travel. then the gorgeous sadness of blanket and the surreal oxen of the sun. pete and the pirates with the distorted pop of ’knots’. screaming tea party ’nexus of electricity’ and japanese poetic lyrics. the broken and tender ’charlie may’ from candy. the instrumental strangeness of ’demon fountain’ with jim white on drums. the epic, glorious ’tearaway’ and young city drinking with the hot silk pockets ’panda eyes’. the brilliant ghost club and the beautiful ’ski kichigai-o’. the classic ’dark blue sea’ from sweden’s pet politics. and more from the pop perfect tap tap. and lots more...unknown and amazing music." -- Roughtrade.com

**RECENT REVIEWS**
"The duo is the most perfectly primal of all musical acts. This melodic up-and-coming band serves up a smattering of vintage Modey Lemon bang-and-crash abstraction, lovingly hand-churned with the haunting noise of Jesus and Mary Chain"...
--Las Vegas City Life

"Nani and Koba "get it" and I can't wait to hear what this duo has in store for us"...
