Myspace Graphics (glitter graphics)It all started in the spring of 2002, when drummer, Roquito (Rocky) met Markus (Cuzz) at a common friend's birthday party in Winterthur. While hip-hop tunes dominated the party, the two talked about playing music. Rock music. About a week later Markus got a call from Rocky. The guitar player in Rocky's band (Sons ot Cain) stepped out and they were looking for a replacement. After weeks of jamming, the other band members decided to step down as well.Later on, Markus brought in an old friend of his in the session, Jos (Cyclon). That he was to be the the band's vocalist, nobody knew at that time. Things started taking shape as Jos actively participated in their sessions. Before they even knew it, he was already writing and singing tunes for the band. He then became their frontman. As the saying goes; "Almost doesn't count", the band knew it needed a fourth member, the last piece of the puzzle. the icing on the cake, the bassist. The band tapped on Markus' twin brother; Felix. The idea back then was to create a somewhat nu-metal-rock band. So they needed a name that would reflect their "slick-but-dangerous" sound and style. "Lucifer Smith" was born.Alongside bands like; Sick and Rich, The Lunchtime Depression and Laudanum, Lucifer Smith gave their premier gig in a basement in Embrach.Songs were written to fit the "idea" of being a metal band. Though, one song stood out; "Girls think it's sexy". At this time the band was undergoing a change. A change that would affect their whole concept. At this point, a new name was needed to fit that image. The "bonafide" image. The changing dindn't stop then, as bassist Felix step down due to do his studies. "Luckily", the band didn't had to wait too long for a replacement when "Sick and Rich" frontman; Lukas (Angel) approved to take on Felix's bassline and on vocal support. After recording a four-track demo-CD, the band played their first gig as "Bonafide" in the legendary Albani Club in Winterthur. Followed by several club gigs, the band's next stop was the video-clip to "Girls think it's sexy". With Felix back as clip director and producer, the band was on it's way to new heights.Winning band contests earned them a gig with with a famous Swiss rock band and a five day session in Fevolution studios in Winterthur. While the video to "Girls think it's sexy" was aired on TV, Bonafide came back to Albani Club to present their clip themselves, with a gig ot course.Today the band is still on the road and rocking the clubs. Even hungry for more, the boys are heading for the bigger stage, whereas the Bonafide machine is just getting started!.............Look out!.. width="425" height="350" ..
