I was gonna busk at Covent Garden till they shooed me away. So I got myself a gig doing incidental music for TV instead. I soon left that cos my Cantopop band got signed and I had to move to Hong Kong. I soon left that too cos I was stupid. Half a decade later, I found myself playing solo in a smoky bar in downtown Kuala Lumpur. It was fun though not so many people came. So I made a record instead. It was a decent record and won me a bunch of awards. Then I toured Japan and got myself featured on NPR, the BBC, NHK FM and Channel V. Soon after, I wrote a column in a magazine, did some acting in indie films and made another record. Entitled 'Television', this other record has the theme song of a major Malaysian movie on it. It also won 3 awards at the Malaysian Music Industry Awards 2007, including Best Music Video and Best English album. I haven't written the next record yet. But I will. It will smell of rice and look like tea. My mother will like it. It'll sell 3 million copies. And I won't wake up.
