About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
My name is Robert Anthony Plant (born August 20, 1948) I am a rock singer. And I was one of the members of one of the most popular and diversive bands in music history, Led Zeppelin. I was known for my powerful style with a wide vocal range that embodied folk/blues passion at it's finest. Following the band's breakup after the death of my good freind Bonzo,I pursued a successful solo career.I started my career singing in a variety of bands including the "Band of Joy." My early efforts met with no commercial success, but word quickly spread about the young guy with the powerful voice, me. Jimmy was in search of a lead singer for his new band and met with me after talking with a drummer who referred him to a show where I was singing. Jimmy and I immediately hit it off with a shared musical passion and after I joined the band, we began our powerful writing collaboration with reworks of earlier blues songs.A well-read individual, I was influenced by J.R.R. Tolkien, which inspired some lyrics on early Zeppelin albums. The passion for diverse musical experiences drove me and Jimmy to explore the African continent, specifically Morocco which we both revisited during our reunion album No Quarter in 1994. From blues, to folk, to African tribal music, I enjoyed diverse influences.
You're slightly feminin,You gave a career to all
the 80's hair metal guys, and were a damn
good front man. You are a part of one of the
greatest Rock N' Roll bands ever! Rock on!
