About Me

Courtney Bryan is the leader of the Courtney Bryan Trio and co-leader of Duet with TreZure Mone. She is a pianist/composer who is versatile in various styles of music with an emphasis on jazz. Her compositions range from solo works to small ensembles to jazz orchestra to symphonic orchestra including performance art.Courtney, a proud graduate of the Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong Jazz Camp of New Orleans, has academic degrees from the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) ’00, Oberlin Conservatory ’04 (bachelors in music composition), Rutgers University ’07 (masters in jazz piano). Currently, Courtney is a Faculty Fellow at Columbia Unversity of New York pursuing a DMA in music composition.Her overall ambition in life is the creation of uninhibited beauty.
