MR Daniel has a luminous collection of 3x5 cards with assorted narrative options, like: “composer” "displaced southerner" “multidisciplinary conceptual artist” “curator” “sound artist” “writer” "hymn-lining explorer" “video artist” “lo-fi textile craft engineer” “performer” “vocalist.” They don’t unfurl the past-present-future like tarot cards, but they all fit in her pocket and will get her across a body of fast moving currents, plus they can be darn near as useful as a Swiss Army knife in the right situation.
