I'm currently running the mailing list for The Charlotte venue in Leicester.
Each Wednesday I issue a short preview of the following weeks gigs via e-mail to try to give potential gig goers more idea of who is playing. Among other things it will include what the artist sounds like (in my opinion), their current releases (if any!) and a link to their myspace/website, so with just a click you can hear the music. Theres also competitions for free tickets. And badges for signing upto the mailing list!
I also put gigs on in Lutterworth (at the moment), in the guise of Under The Mattress Promotions and in conjunction with The Charlotte . Primarily aimed at under 18's, we're looking at making the music The Charlotte is famous for available to a wider and younger audience...
