Influences: My musical taste is so varied it would be hard to explain. I grew up with my parents listening to Mowtown, Jazz and Blues music...As I entered my teens, I worshipped Heavy Rock...but a strange thing happened when I was 15. I went to a Billy Joel concert on a date (her choice) and man did he put on a show..it changed my one dimensional look at music. This launched my long time passion for music..how freakin' weird that Billy Joel opened my eyes to the entire spectrum of music .Some Of My All Time Favs..to name a fewAC/DC, KISS, Billy Joel (told you), Queen, Max Webster, early RUSH...nothing much after Farewell To Kings. Van Halen before Sammy, Saga, Triumph..probably the best Canadian band ever, Guess Who, Joe Cocker, Miles Davis, Teenage Head, Goddo Thelonious Monk, The Who, Joe Jackson, The English Beat, Ray Charles and the Sex Pistols. What's In My iPOD -
Danielle McKee - Canadian Pop Rocker who is up and coming, Yurko, CherryFix, Say When, Charlie Sexton, Franz Ferdinand, Blink 182, Simple Plan, Green Day, Bowling For Soup, Weezer, Sloan...I love that three chord rock.
Three Days Grace, Nickleback, John Mayer, James Blunt, Gordie Sampson, Diana Krall, Colin James, Ella Fitzgerald, Eminem and Tupac...the only two rappers I can stomach. They have something to say.I guess that kinds of defines me...when I think of it. I like artists who have something to say..but I am still a sucker for a hard beat.
