Hello! My name is Ilca Andrade, I’m an actor in Hollywood, California. My journey has been remarkable, I’ve had a lot of valleys and hills to climb. I was born and raised in the Cape Verde islands, located in the west coast of Africa. I moved to Boston Massachusetts, while in high school I became a Teen Ambassador and part of the Young At Arts Program with the Wang Center For The Performing Arts. I continued my pursuit of the Arts, completing a B.A. in Theater Arts from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. I then moved to Hollywood, where I’m beginning a new chapter in my life. In Los Angeles, I am part of the Los Angeles African American Repertoire Theater. Last year I acted in several plays. My favorite was the “Girls of Summer” and we took it to New York. This was a award winning play receiving recognition from ADA and NAACP. I’m a polyglot, fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, Creole and French. I would like to say thank you to my adopted parents for all their love and support, to my siblings, to the De Pina family and to my friends at the LAAAREP.
