About Me

Welcome to "My Space!"
My name's Anthony Mora I started my writing career as a freelance journalist for such publications as Us, Rolling Stone, Playboy, Buzz and other local and national publications. I served as editor-in-chief of two Los Angeles-based entertainment and lifestyle-oriented publications, and co-founded Phillips & Mora Entertainment, a personal management company, which ventured into video and film production.
My first novel, Bang ! A Love Story was released in hardback in 1998 and in softcover in 2006. Bang! is currently in pre production as a feature film. Scenes from the play were performed in New York and Los Angeles, featuring Linda Cardellini. The full play premiered in 2006 at the Sidewalk Studio Theatre in Toluca Lake where I serve as the playwright in residence. P.O.P. The Principles of Perfection, also premiered at the Sidewalk in 2006.
I'm currently working on a play called "Modern Love." Modern Love follows an L.A. based film producer turned writer/director whose obsession with his directorial debut takes him down a dark, precarious path. Modern Love , which will be produced by Kurt Swanson, will feature Aubrie Wienholt , Rico Simonini, Ann Convery, Meghan Ashley, Megan Hallin and Zane Helberg, and will world premiere at the Sidewalk Studio Theatre in Toluca Lake, California on January 16, 2009.
