The genres I enjoy are:Gothic, Darkwave, Industrial, Electronic, Deathrock, Classical, Opera, Post Punk, Punk, Death Metal, Black Metal, Grindcore, Psychedelic as in some 60's.
Movies:
Some of my favorites are The Last Emperor, Empire of the Sun, Clockwork Orange, Hero, LOTR series, Casshern, Salo, Marquis, works by Jan Svankmajer and the Brothers Quay, The Matrix, The Attic Expeditions, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Cyberpunk genre, The Doom Generation, Natural Born Killers, Rasputin, American Psycho.
I really like a lot of Japanese Cinema, the sets are richly detailed, yet minimalist and the dialogue is not over excessive. The Japanese film participants seem to speak in well constructed, symbolic sentences, instead of the useless garb used in so many films.
Television:
Shall the bastion of mass manipulations, consumerism and decitful opiate of the masses entitled T.V. be cast down into oblivion. FREE YOUR MIND!
Books:
Some of my favorite books are: Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Journeys Out of The Body by Robert Monroe, Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce, The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley, 1984 by George Orwell
Currently reading: Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon.
These books are not necessarily read for pleasure, but books which can be learned from time and time again. For pure "guilty reading pleasure" I really enjoy the twisted tales of Heavy Metal Magazine!
