Accelerated Love Affair is an acoustic duet combining haunting guitar riffs with unforgettable vocal harmonies. They combine the sounds from numerous genres; drawing influence from anything from laid-back indie, to playful pop to heart-wrenching ballads. Accelerated Love Affair is known for their unique guitar tunings, incredibly powerful harmonies, and emotionally driven lyrics.
Accelerated Love Affair was formed in late 2004, and within the first year, had pushed farther than either could have fathomed. Within that first year, Accelerated Love Affair was invited to play on the First Avenue main stage. Since then, they've been active in a Minneapolis based organization called DEMO, or Diverse Emerging Musicians Organization, played venues such as the Fine Line Cafe, and are quite often invited to play the 400 Bar. Accelerated Love Affair has had the pleasure of playing with artists such as Haley Bonar and Holly Palmer. In January of 2007 Accelerated Love Affair released their debut CD, "Boys in Bands Break Hearts.
There were several highlights in the first half of the show. Accelerated Love Affair, an acoustic guitar group, wowed audiences with an ethereal, haunting song about a double-decker bus. "Everyday I drive this bus alone," the two girls sang in perfect harmony, and even though it took them a moment to get in sync with each other ("Sorry, it's 36 hours!" one of the girls exclaimed) they executed their song beautifully.
