Elaine Romanelli is a CD Baby bestselling singer/songwriter, and also singer/actress. She's not sure where she's from but she loves the places she's lived, which include Philadelphia; Manhattan, Kansas (Go K-State!); San Francisco; and now New York City.In May 2006 she was part of the Broadway production Brundibar (Tony Kushner, Maurice Sendak). In March '06 she starred on TLC's What Not To Wear. Her songs are playing on podcasts across the country, and she hopes to be following them around soon for live shows.She loves every kind of dancing, especially social dance. Pianista Fantastica is the pianist with the mad chops who plays on all the tracks of Better By Far. Jon Arkin did the percussion and sweet Dave Bell laid down the guitar.
Influences: Bono, Leonard Cohen, Shawn Colvin, Ella Fitzgerald, the Indigo Girls (huge fan), the LA guitar quartet, Joni Mitchell, Gregory Page, Dawn Upshaw, Suzanne Vega, Tom Waits, The Weepies, Gillian Welch. And sugar, especially when mixed with butter and salt.
