The filthy ugly beast that is Horned Almighty was conceived in 2002 by S. (Formerly Smerte) and Hellpig (Formerly Soth) and arose from the ashes of former constellations under such names as Mareridt and Tronraner. A four track demo with programmed drums, called Hellhordes, was recorded and made in a very limited quantity, thus not obtaining any feedback.
A year went by and contact was established with a drummer called Harm. Rehearsing began for yet another demo, which in late 2003 ended up the recording of four hellish odes of blasphemous evil in the bands own recording studio, called Vomit truly a shithole of a place worse than the fiery pits of hell. Before releasing the demo, some labels were approached with the material and Infernus Rex from the Netherlands released the material as a 7 ep, called In the year of our horned lord april 2004.
At the same time, the bastard cult of Horned Almighty had their first live performance, featuring a session bass player, at a local metal festival with names such as Dismember and Carpathian Forest. At this time also, Italian label, Hearse Records, was interested in releasing a split Lp with the band - Finnish Sargeist joined in. Four new filthy songs were laid on tape and the lp was released august 2004. Moribund Records from the US did a cd version and were allowed to master the songs for this and the cd was released late 2004.
In the summer 2004 the rehearsing for a full length album began and Black metal jesus was recorded autumn 2004, once again in Vomit. Infernus Rex released the album in November 2004 and that made 3 releases for Horned Almighty in a year. In the beginning of 2005, plans of making a video for the song Satanic fatherland were plotted and the recording took place at a local gig, which also featured new member Aries from french act Black Dementia on strings.
That very same evening in a raging alcohol hellstorm, a friend was asked to take over the future bass duties and had a week to learn the set before going on a national mini tour with death metal act Exmortem. Luger agreed and probably regrets that now. After the mini tour, a new video for Terror soul was shot and chopped by fellow fanatics.
Things were then put on hold for half a year, while members participated in other musical obligations. Late 2005, the rehearsals for a new album began and it was recorded, once again, in Vomit February 2006. April 2006 The Devils music Songs of death and damnation shall fall upon you all and surely wreck everything you hold dear!
