The murderous entity of STRYCHNOS was deformed by M. Leth in early 1998. Combining forces with guitarkiller J. Hasseriis the first Strychnos release "Demo tracks 1998" was created.
The Danish underground vinyl label Horror Records found interest in the Strychnostick madness & offered to release a 7" EP with the band. In early 1999 "As Torture Returns", "Holocaust Saves" & "God of Demise" were recorded. A year later these uncreations gathered under the title "Terror lies within". The EP was released as 666 bloodstained vinyls.
Shortly after the release, the band was paused because of geographical problems and involvement in other bands.
In December 2004 STRYCHNOS was finally reborn, joining forces with battery N. Larsen and Guitarslasher J. Pedersen the line-up is stronger than ever. The first gig for 4 years dismembered Rytmeposten, Odense in march 2005. The following 2 years were used to forge a solid live-performance, spreading horror in Denmark, Sweden and Belgium.
New Tracks as "Black Banners", "Horror Sacred, Torture Divine" & "Beastial Dezires" are now ready to haunt. 5 brutal hymns will gather the mini-album "Undead Unsouls Unbound" to be released as both vinyl and compact disc within 2009. 2 additional tracks have been recorded and will hopefully be released as a split 7"EP with Swedish maniacs KILL. Several live shows will follow, spanning the European soils. All this lead towards the main-goal; STRYCHNOS' first full length album.
STRYCHNOS will continue to explore the boundaries of otherness, opposition, embedded evil & hate: One of the most extreme, bizarre & perverted musical experiences ever to emerge from Denmark. We will enjoy raping your corpse.
