THE BURNING (New album out now)

In a time where bands boasting about blending old and newschool are a dime a dozen, few step up to the plate as imposing as denmark's The Burning.
They attack their metal with a punkrock attitude unmatched in todays scene, mixing vicious Pantera-esque riffs with chrushing bass lines and oldschool breaks and grooves. Monstrous vintage styled basslines, screaming thrashriffs and punkparts are mixed with a blazing "Back to basic" drumming that shows just how damaging and brutal metal can sound without being oversaturated in double bass beats. Loose, aggressive and very noisy, the band bark out their lyrics using low end deathgrowls and traditional metal screams.
Contrary to alot of their peers only one guitar is used in The Burning, forcing the bass forward in the mix having to add both vicious power and paissionate melodies.
No nostalgia, no throwbacks, no pretending to be swedish/danish, just straight up brutal metal with oldschool traits.
