About Me

The Opposite of War is not Peace. The Opposite of War is Creation!
I'm a multi-instrumentalist who has composed music for award winning films, tv pilots, and multimedia. I'm also a recording artist with 3 independent releases under my belt and another effort in the works. I also lend my talents to artists as a musician and producer and appear on recordings as a guitarist and co-writer, and performer, most notably with Juno Award nominee Eternia.
Services offered
Full music composition and production for moving pictures – film, tv, games, commercials, videos, new media, and theatre/dance productions. I also have a large library of already composed music for liscencing. I will consider all budgets, and my fee is usually about %5 of the projects budget, to give you a rough idea. Contact me for details! I am very versatile and write in many styles, but my strengths are in Orchestral, Rock, Electronica, Ambient, Minimalist and combinations thereof!
I'm always interested in hearing from people who need a producer, would like help workshopping material, or need someone to arrange or produce music for their projects.

Other Stuff
I love all forms of creativity, especially design, painting/drawing/mixed media, photography (I actually attended college for Fine Art, and even had my own design company for a while, but in the end decided that music was what I really had passion for creating) and of course moving pictures. I continue to work in visual art - primarily in drawing, and web/graphic design. I've also recently begun carving stamps - emblems of mobius strips which hold a particular attraction.
I started in a band called The Nether Legion (later Unherd) which took me all across Canada since '98.
I've been training for about 6 years in in Shotokan Karate at Kuma Martial Arts under Ken Benson Sensei (Rokudan), and hold a 2nd degree black belt (Nidan). I continue to train, compete, and coach junior ranks, and am also doing the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Level A Intro to Competition this March.

My Interests

Music, Martial Arts, Metaphysics (hmmm... the three M's!), opinions, philosophy, spirituality, being human, crazy ideas, manifesting intention, ontology, string theory, quantum physics, the future, the past, cybernetics, nanotechnology, the 50's, Beat Generation, microcosms, macrocosms, mobius strips, infinity, finite things, infinitely small things, ridiculously large things, human potential, mysticism, shamanism, talking too much about stuff, laughing a hell of a lot and loudly, making fun, good food, good drink, friends and inspiring dinner parties where no one gets murdered and great ideas are born. Art, design, film. Creating art. Process. Frenzied brain storming sessions. Music production and engineering.

I'd like to meet:
