Smooth Fuego are a group of young people from different backgrounds who go to the same university, who have come together to create what is now known as Smooth Fuego.
Founded by Mr EMT & Fuego, Smooth Fuego started off life as the moniker of Mr EMT & Fuego as they DJ’d in various house parties for University Of Hertfordshire students alongside Smarty D & Blu-Ray. As members of the African Caribbean Society, Mr EMT, Fuego & Blu-Ray organized and helped with a number of different events for the university which was how they got into contact with well-known DJ & Events organizer Chris Essence.
Under Chris’ guidance the members of Smooth Fuego developed various skills through helping him promote events, helping out in the club nights and even dj’ing warm-ups for his events. DJ’s Mr EMT & Blu-Ray even DJ’d regularly in the University Of Hertfordshire’s weekly "Bonk" night (The only "Urban" orientated club night).
Gathering knowledge from helping out Chris, it was noticed that he was literally the ONLY promoter catering towards the target crowd who Smooth Fuego would want to attract, which is why and how Smooth Fuego was officially formed to provide club nights for and around the Hertfordshire area but Fuego (coming from the midlands himself) also wanted to appeal to the midlands audience with Mr EMT wanting to gather a name for Smooth Fuego in London. So a collective of designers, dj’s, music producers, web designers, promoters and much more from the uni was gathered with the purpose of creating club nights and projects to spread the Smooth Fuego name.....and the rest is history!
