Well lets see, my name is Thomas John Brokaw i was born on the 6th February 1940 I was a television journalist and the former NBC News anchorman and managing editor of the program NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. My last broadcast as an anchorman was on December 1, 2004, replaced by Brian Williams. During my tenure, NBC Nightly News was the most watched cable or broadcast news program in the United States. I also hosted, wrote, and moderated special programs on a wide range of topics. Throughout my career, I have been the recipient of numerous awards and honors.I serve on the Howard University School of Communications Board of Visitors and on the boards of trustees of the University of South Dakota, the Norton Simon Museum, and the American Museum of Natural History. As well as my television journalism I have written for periodicals and have authored books.
