For me, music has always been more of a need than an interest. I started spinning records (ONLY!!!) in September of '06 at a few clubs around St. Louis. I rather enjoy unpredictable, slightly off-kilter, progressive music. Old songs that sound new, new songs that sound old, songs that sound like 2 (or even 3!!!) songs in one. Heavy bass, creeping beats, male/female dueling vocals, hand-claps, cowbell, woodblock, yodeling. Chanting, pipe organ, circus music, psychedelic music, gypsy music. Global, Afro-beat, Tropicalia, neo-classical music that I've just heard but somehow instantly sounds so familiar to me, like a de'ja'vu. In an attempt to explain my broad taste and what I play, here's a comprehensive, genre spanning, and ever growing list of what I've collected on vinyl and share with the masses.
