About Me

Hello. I am Felicity, a refugee from The North of England, currently residing in the “trendy” Eastend Of London. I have a problem with the glib nature of attempting to condense my whole life/personality to a few words on Myspace.com, but I will attempt to nonetheless, as I am so charmingly polite.I have an Art Degree, specifically in Video Art, but I don’t really make films at the moment, but I may go back to it at a later date. I am Anarchist, Feminist and Vegan because I am disgusted by much of the innate and often hidden cruelty and apathy in the world around me, and I try my best not to contribute to any of this (but often fail miserably).I spend my days lurking around a Large Modern Art Gallery, as it is my job. However I am slightly hyperactive, so I like to work on lots of other things as well, when I am not there. I am writing a book (when I can stomach it) and sometimes work as a Rock Promoter and Fetish Model (but not at the same time).I love body mods and at the moment I am obsessed with completing my sleeve which is a Bauhaus inspired design. I think Modernist Aesthetics really have a place in Tattoo Design, and I am considering training to become a Tattoo Artist myself.I spend the rest of my time, reading, sleeping and playing computer games (I love The Sims and can’t wait to get my greasy paws on The Sims 3) I also watch a ridiculous amount of cartoons, especially the stuff on [adult swim].Please don't ever attempt to classify me as a Goth as I really don't like it.

My Interests

I know a surprising amount about Marine Biology, and I am obsessed with the life cycle of the Deap Sea Angler Fish, so much so, I once made an animation about them and have a UV Tattoo of one on my left boob. Other than this, my interests are pretty much what one would expect, apart from my “thing” about Early Soviet Propaganda and Films about The Vietnam War. I am pretty OCD, and there are any number of random topics that I can ramble on at length about. I also studied the flute for 5 years, so I try and practice when the mood takes me, although chain-smoking has ruined my lung capacity somewhat. I am learning Spanish and this gives my Spanish and Latin American Friends ample opportunity for piss-taking.

I'd like to meet:

I honestly couldn’t say. I like (and dislike) all sorts of people and I am proud and happy to maintain a pretty eclectic group of friends. If you have something of interest that you feel the need to impart with me, please feel free to go ahead, as I am pretty friendly. However please don’t contact me if you want to say something pervy. Seriously. I will ignore/flag or insult you, so don’t even try it!View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Books:

I am pretty well read because I grew up in Southport, which is a pretty boring (if rather odd place, so I spent much of my adolescence in the local library reading deviant literature. Southport Library is on the same system as Ashworth Hospital Library and I was always getting the Librarians to order books over from there. The chances are, as a 16 year old, I was reading books that had quite recently been read by Ian Brady. True Story that. I don’t want to write down all my favourite books on here though, as it would be too boring and pretentious, however I will say that I have always enjoyed the work of Chris Nieratko, and there are a few Author-types in my "Heroes" Section so check em out.

Heroes:

I have a problem with the concept of heroes, because even the greatest of people do shit things at times (in the same way that shit people do great things at times), and I also think it is dangerous to follow any one person or ideology without questioning it/them, which the term “hero worship” indicates, somewhat. However, for the purposes of a complete Myspace Page; here is a list of people whose achievements, for one reason or other, I choose to admire. Gordon Bennet (the Native Australian Painter), Guy Debord, Charles Bukowski, Margaret Attwood, George Orwell, Rosa Luxumbourg, Freida Kahlo, Jack and Meg White, Morrissey, Richey James Edwards, Mark Rothko, Carl Jung, Emma Goldman Brett Anderson, Piet Mondrain, Kasemir Malovich, Wassily Kandinsky, Lazlo Maholy Nagy, Jerry Springer, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Voltairine De Cleyre, Fritz Lang, James Joyce, George Galloway, Constant Nieuwenhuys, Karl Marx, Freidrich Engels, Courtney Love, Ethel Rosenberg, Francis Ford Coppola, William S Burroughs, Timothy Leary, The Extended Flynn Family, Fay Weldon, Jeremy Dellar, Maya Angelou, Germaine Greer, Marc Almond, Jarvis Cocker, Vic Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Steve Coogan, Bret Easton Ellis, Albert Camus, Team Rocket, Dusty Springfield, Kate Moss, John Lilly, Arthur Scargill, Sergei Eisenstein, Joseph Beuys and many many more…….
