Cars. Motorcycles. 40s Jukeboxes. Pinball machines and video games. 40s Plastic Radios. Old weird junk. Music. PBR. Miscellaneous other stuff of a fun and generally legal nature.
Tom Waits would be fun to meet. But we'd probably both get sloppy drunk and not remember meeting anyway. Marilyn Manson would be fun but I'm afraid he'd convince me to leave my job and collect prostetic arms and legs.So I guess it'd be really fun to hang with a really washed up 80s star that was famous for like 5 minutes. I was just in Jim's Steaks in Philly and they have a signed 8x10 of the '21 Jump Street' kid. And you have to wonder if he signed it for them during his very brief fame or if he's still driving around somewhere with a trunk full of these old publicity shots signing them for anyone that cares. I like the idea that he's driving around today telling people at Turnpike Toll Booths that he's that '21 Jump Street' guy. That's funny stuff in my book and would make for a great road trip.
A sampling of what's in the car right now... Lady Sovereign, Hank III, Beck, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Snoop Dog, Goldfrapp, and Kill Allen Wrench (who apparently got kicked off of MySpace?). It's usually an odd sorta mix of everything.
Snatch was a good movie, and it's an all around great word. Go ahead, try to work the word "Snatch" into a conversation today (without getting slapped).Other movies I liked..... Borat, Big Lebowski, Napoleon Dynamite, Donnie Darko, Pulp Fiction, the Kill Bills, Scotland PA, Boondock Saints, Run Lola Run, Office Space, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, the Mad Fabricator DVDs, Momento, and probably lots more that I'm not remembering.
'My Name is Earl' because it seems to be the true story of my buddy's life. And I try to always catch Katie Couric's colonoscopies when they're on TV. Damn, I wonder if the chick taking Katie's place on the Today Show knows about the ass camera yet? Do you suppose that came up in the interview??
Charles Bukowski's my fave.
My Grandparents and probably a few other friends and relatives. Oh, and David Hasslehoff, of course.
