About Me

BIOThe band came together in June 2002, in Warsaw, Poland, on the initiative of Krzysztof "Faza" Wiszniewski. The first ensemble consisted of only four musicians (lead guitar, vocal, keyboards and drums), nevertheless the group planned to expand the lineup with a bass and a rhythm guitar.
The band's scenic debut was the concert at Warsaw's Nemo club in January 2003. The spring that year brought a four-piece demo. Two of the tracks were used as soundtrack in a short-subject movie "Czerwony 55" ("Red 55"), by Agnieszka Gomulka.
Shortly after the recording, the band's first drummer, Marcin Wlusek, left the ensemble, due to health issues. Finding someone to take his place took the band some time, the new drummer was Marcin Kulakowski. In such configuration, the band played a few concerts, the last one of those was one closing an event in a MONAR institute (MONAR is a Polish multifaceted social project for fighting with narcotic abuse, homelessness and social problems.)
After the series of concerts, the band was again left by a drummer, who took the bass player (Jerzy Mroczek) with him. They were substituted by very experienced musicians, Piotr Konarski and Jarek Michalski (respectively, a drummer and a bass player).
This refreshed ensemble recorded a "Through the Looking Glass" EP in Warsaw's Serakos Studios in October, 2004. The next obvious step was another series of concerts in clubs, open-air events and rock reviews all over Poland.
The spring in 2005 brought the band it's first single, "Peter Pan / World In Your Hands", recorded in Warsaw's Zlota Skala / Kokszoman Studios.
In the summer, the band was left without another of it's original members, this time it was Marcin Karolak (keyboards). After many auditions, a Polish rock scene's well-known Anna Turwon was brought into the ensemble.
The 2006 concert series were thus opened with a concert at the Metal Cave club in Warsaw. In 2006 Viridian played the series of gigs in Warsaw and other cities of Poland, including taking part in famous Abracadabra Gothic Tour with one of the most popular Polish gothic band - Closterkeller. In October the band made their first video, "Before You Leave". Unfortunately the band's members expectations were too different and in January 2007 Viridian have decided to suspend it's activity due to personal issues. In June the band returned with the new member - Aval. A few weeks later Sephiroth joined the crew. The new chapter begins...
