INTERZONE has begun its existence with fascination of Joy Division and The Sisters Of Mercy. The other inspirations are Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Cure and Bauhaus or Siouxsie And The Banshees and Kino. The band avoids to be classified and limited to any of music styles.
A leader of the band and music composer is Adam Pawlowski, a new wave bassist, who has begun to work with the drumming machine called Professor Destroyer. The members of the group also are: Przemyslaw Pilacinski - a guitarist (since 2006) and Ilona Szewczyk - a vocalist.
The band`s proper start occured in autumn 2004 after some complete songs had been prepared.
The years 2005-2007 were full of self-organized live shows and personal replacements (the group was twice completely rearranged). From the 2007 Interzone began a cooperation with an artist's agency named Yellow Spring.
Interzone performed among others together with Cytadela, Nostromo, Negradonna, Lilith, Vena Valley, Carnal, Syrbski Jeb, Blue Sky.
Our band concerted in many different places, but first of all it was Park Praski, Proxima, MOK Legionowo, Small Courtyard of the Warsaw University, Teatr 77 (AOIA) in Lodz, Reaktor Club in Rzeszow, a famous Hard Rock Cafe and Lost Highway w Cracow.
INTERZONE'S concerts are followed by the group of fans, these, who have been with us from the very beginning, as well as quite new ones, gained during our shows. Our concerts are accompanied by good press notes as well.
On the 10th of June 2007 our performing longplay "The Land Of Ice", being recorded since the end of 2006, was finally mixed. Vasyl (Tomasz Wasylyszyn) - a leader of the legendary CYTADELA band, mastered the whole thing.
"THE LAND OF ICE" ALBUM WAS REGISTERED IN STOART 25.06.2007.
