About Me

I am a married Media Arts teacher, here in New Jersey. Last March, one of my students suggested that I come on to Myspace to connect with old students and friends, and to make new friends. I am very happy that she did. My only child, my 22 year old son Peter, was killed in a drunk driving accident. He left behind poetry and writing for everyone to read. If you have a moment, please go to my Blog and read a few things that I put up every now and then to keep Peter in the world where he belongs. He has two books out, LIVING ON PAPER STREET and SLIPPING PAST THE PAGES OF LIFE, and a third book will be out early this year. They can also be found at XLIBRIS.com, or www.peterthomasjames.com. We are not selling anything, or asking anyone to purchase anything. We are just trying to keep Peter"s memory alive through his work and the light of his love burning.

My Interests

Poetry, music, dance, sports, art, and good conversation.

People with a pure heart.

Music:

Just about any kind of music. I love 50's and 60's Doo Wop, Beatles, 40's Big Band, anything really. My son's work, my husbands work, the work of COLAROID, found here on MYSPACE, and the beautiful work of RICK PAYMAN, the amazing voice of FERNANDO LIMA, and all the musicians and singers found on my friends page that I have met on MYSPACE.

Movies:

Classic old movies, The Godfather Series, The Wizard of Oz, The Outsiders, and any movie that tells a story that I can get lost in.

Television:

Law and Order, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, when I see someone different, American Masters on PBS.

Books:

My son's work, To Kill A Mockingbird, the work of E.E. Cummings, and Robert Frost. The Poetry and Spoken Word of TONY STRINGFELLOW, found on MYSPACE, THE ROCK N ROLL POETRY TRAIN, also here on MYSPACE and anything written by Max Hillman, aka ONESIMPLEMAN, here on MYSPACE.
