"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. " --Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
"‘Sometimes in the sadness, you’re able to embrace more. Just by knowing what’s out there…and in those moments of ‘this is so awful,’ you’re forced to see how sweet everything else is. Heartbreaks, bad luck, whatever –shed your tears, allow the world to lift you up and find comfort in the random blessings you’re served. Because you will be, if you’re open to seeing it. Pay attention, because it’s all on the way to there…’ from Elizabethtown
Titian: Salome
"The important thing is not to stop questioning." Albert Einstein
Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. -- Mother Teresa
"There's no excuse to be bored. Sad, yes. Angry, yes. Depressed, yes. Crazy, yes. But there is no excuse for boredom, ever."Of course, Henry says, 'Yeah, well, Dad, if you were in my science class you'd know what it is to be bored.' I guess that's something a little different." Viggo Mortenson
Poetry by Charles R James 2007:
Heal The Senses
Take sadness and paint it pretty colors so that it is easier to look at.
Grief is not pleasant to listen to, cover it over with pretty words and it becomes a song of love.
Broken lives have a rough texture, smooth them over so that they feel like silk.
The taste of heartbreak is bitter and sour, mask it with red wine and chocolate
Roses and scented candles may hide the terrible odor of hopelessness
But what can be done about the reality? The senses can be fooled, but the heart is much too wise
Only love can heal the heart.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us -- Helen Keller

We can cure physical diesases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread, but there are many more dying for a little love -- Mother Teresa

Poetry by Peter Thomas James:

"My lifetime is eternal
Like the permanent paint that stains the wall
Like piano keyboards that make strange calls
Walking
My footprints scar the earth
Now, the odds are in my favor
Notes, words, eternity."
By Peter Thomas James. ...a very insightful young man who was trying to change things for the better. Tragically killed age 22 in a car accident. If each person takes a small step to change something around them, then incredible things can be achieved...be proud to be yourself and open your eyes to the world around you, as Peter is still doing for many, with his wise words.
These are two of Peter's books 'Slipping Past The Pages Of Life' and 'Living On Paper Street' His third book is due out very soon.
