About Me

MySpace Icons Me. I'm an artist first and foremost with an undying passion for creativity, life, nature, and love. I live every day as if it were my last to the best possible. My fiance, James, has been a gift to me that I cherish in so many ways. I'm lucky to be with him and, for us to have found each other in this vast world. I have a extremly rare auto-immune condition that has left me in a critical state everyday. As of 6-26-06, my body has and does reject all food and beverages except water. The food could be oragnic or even homegrown and my body will reject it, it doesn't matter what it is...even if it is pure or processed. However, I do my best to stay away from processed foods as much as possible. The main symptom that stems from this awlful incurable condition is Idiopathic Anaphylaxis. Actually the proper term is Anaphylactoid, meaning..."like Anaphylaxis". I do not have an antibody problem nor an iGe problem. My immune system is in what is called, a Hypersensitivity Mode. It's like a light switch that can't be turned off, even by the best of doctors in Chicago...Northwestern & Indianapolis. With each consumption of food, some meds, chemicals...ect. my body wants to shutdown. Ananphylaxis is closure of the throat...trouble swallowing, lungs...gasping for air IS THE SCARIEST THING TO EVER, EVER EXPERIANCE, the heart going into cardiac arrest (I've been close to in the ER), dehydration, headaches, bowel problems, internal and external swelling, hives..at times....headaches, nausia, and of course anxiaty and depression that is manifistated from the illness, as stated by the federal government. It is Benadryl that I take every 6 hrs, 24/7 ( I AM CURRENTLY AWAITING FOR A NEW MED THAT MY DOC. FROM NORTHWESTREN HAS PRESCRIBED,KETIDEN...IT COMES FROM THE VATICAN CITY PHARMACY...IN ROME, I PRAY THAT IT WORKS...I DON'T REACT TO IT BECUASE IT WILL REPLACE THE BENADRYL THAT I HAVE BEEN ON FOR 24/7....A YEAR AND A HALF. MY BODY IS BECOMMING IMMUNE TO THE BENADRYL, THEREFORE LEAVING ME IN A CONDITION THAT LEAVES ME BEDRIDDEN FOR MOST OF THE DAY NOW), that keeps me alive. Other drugs such as Zyrtec, which I take twice a day along with a small dosage of prednisone that all work to keep my body functioning. I take about 10 drugs a day to keep me afloat. My body also rejects a slew of other meds, novicane, mouthwash, vitamins, airborne or growing mold (extreme reaction instantly), ragweed, the heat or even the cold will induce symptoms to be more apparent. However, I deal with these symptoms everyday...non-stop. I finally am coming to grips with this chronic condition. I have not found anyone that has this severity of this condition. I am the most sever case that my doc. at Northwestren has ever dealt with as well as my lawyer whom has been in the Social Security field for 29 yrs. I take nothing for granted and look at life so differently than prevously. I did have warning signs for a year and a half, before this slammed me. I do walk my beagle, (short distances and always with an EPI-PEN), light yoga, very light aerobics, and small dumbell lifting to keep my body in some type of shape,, and I've picked up swimming. Again, even then I have to be careful with my exertion level. That is hard for me because I ran (trails) for competion and non-competion..for me...for more than 10yrs. I make jewelry that allows me to be creative while bed-ridden. I am starting a new series of artwork that I'm very excited about. I love to read and take advantage of the time I have to keep learning through various books and literatuure. I no longer care about material things, all I care about is my fiance, family, love, and time. It is suspected that becuase my father sprayed Agent Orange in Vietnam 9 times by hand, not including what was being dumped by the crop-dusters (20 million gallons) that has caused my younger sister and I to have extreme and rare auto-immune problems through-out our lives. The movie below was made in dedication for those that fought in Vietnam. This is the grim reality that many soldiers today still live and carry with them. God bless all those that have fought, are fighting, and have died in such horrific circumstances. WELCOME HOOME. Also, the other movie is Factor-4, James my fiance is the guitar palyer!! Watch and enjoy!! It wasn't the whole show of course, all I can say is they rocked that place!!! WELCOME HOME SOLDIERS!!!found this fantasy layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
