About Me

Well rounded individual with a zest for life, friends, and good music. Mental age ranges from 6 to 90, as you will probably soon see on this site.....Avid fisherman, non partisan, sometimes seen clutching a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale, or tequila.....

My Interests

Music, Fishing, Guitars, audio/video digital recording, home recording studios, animals of all shapes, sizes, & temperments

I'd like to meet:

Frank Zappa (not possible, unfortuantely), Jesus Christ (not now, I can wait a while),

Music:

I like everything except most country, and opera. My preference is for progressive rock/metal, and power metal, but that's not ALL I listen to. I'm first and foremost a guitar freak. I've been playing guitar since 1980 and hope to continue until I croak. If the guitar playing is good, no matter what the genre, I'll probably enjoy it. I also like bands that can't be labelled with any kind of musical brand. Bands like Frank Zappa, Freak Kitchen, and the Mike Keneally Band come immediately to mind. I can easily jump from The Beatles, to Black Sabbath, to Stevie Ray Vaughan without missing a beat.

Movies:

Sci-Fi & Horror are my main catagories, but I'm up for a good western or comedy as well.

Television:

Don't watch much, but I do enjoy 24, Lost, and most of HBO's mini-series. Missed the last season of 6 Feet Under, looking forward to new Soprano's & Deadwood. I can also be found watching The Discovery Channel, or anything that has to do with animals or science.

Books:

Haven't done a whole lot of reading lately, but I enjoy Tom Clancy's books, as well as Clive Barker & Steven King. I also like biographies. The Real Frank Zappa book is a great read, as well as David Lee Roth's book. I still need to get White Line Fever, penned by none other than Lemmy from Motorhead.....

Heroes:

My folks (just because...), Frank Zappa (for not being afraid of anybody, and pointing out the absurdities in life & government), and last but not least, all the men & women who gave their lives in present, as well as past wars, operations, police actions, etc. The "war" on terror is a sticky situation, and while some may scoff, you all have my backing 100%.
