Most of the bands I like come from the US. Among my favorite bands are Nevermore, Symphony X, Novembers Doom, Zero Hour, Cea Serin and Benedictum.
Some of my favorite European band are Sieges Even, Pagan's Mind, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom and Beyond Twilight.
My favorite genres are prog-metal, death metal and some black Metal.
I don't like the happy Helloween type of sing along Euro power-metal. I need a good dose of progressiveness and aggression in my metal!!

I just love books! 99% of the books I read are non-fiction.
I like to read about history, philosophy and economic theory.
Historians I like are Jonathan Israel, Paul Johnson and the Dutch historian H.L. Wesseling.
In philosophy I like reading the neo-Aristotelian's like Douglas den Uyl, Douglas Rasmussen, Henry Veach, Tibor Machan, Roderick T. Long, the Dutch Thomist Bernard Delfgaauw and of course Ayn Rand.
In economic theory I am a life long student of the Austrian school. I have a huge respect for the great Ludwig von Mises.
Other economists I like to read are the Hans Hermann Hoppe, Murray Rothbard and the objectivist George Reisman.
Anyone who fights against overwhelming odds and is able to get his point across.
The two best examples of that attitude are the economist Ludwig von Mises and philosopher and writer Ayn Rand. Their memory continues to inspire me every day.
