Ronnie is a multipercussionist/keyboardist who plays jazz, funk, R&B, Latin, Brazilian and African music. Trained in classical piano, West African, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Puerto Rican, and Haitian Folkloric music. He has played and taught percussion at The Drummers Collective NYC, taught percussion for childrens programs throughout New York City, and has also played for many dance classes including Alvin Ailey and The Joffrey Ballet Company. Ronnie Roc has played, produced and recorded for numerous musicians and artist for the past two decades. The list includes: Saxaphonist Steve Coleman, Trumbonist Steve Turre, Songstress Xiomarra Fortuna, Poetic Vocalist Karen Gibson Roc and Fluid, Brazilian Artist Nego Gato, and Latin Singer Juan Ma Moralis of Sonido Costeno. He has also performed on Good Morning America and Daytime Soap Opera Another World. Currently Ronnie leads his own Afro Jazz Band and works with up and coming artists such as Jay Micheal and Karen Gibson Roc, Terry Davis, Dave Mullins Band ,Mambo Jazzi and many more!
