Santessa creates sound that is ravishing, alluring and instantly classic. Her debut album DELIRIUM, produced by Stuart Matthewman, (Sade, Maxwell, Sweetback), and Steve 'The Scotsman' Harvey, released through Sony UK, was critically acclaimed across the board. It has gone on to become a highly sought after collectors item worldwide. Born on the Isle of Man without a drop of Manx blood, she is a truly unique synthesis of a Ghanaian and English mother and an Irish father. Experiencing a nomadic adolescence, she absorbed the cultures of the Isle of Man, Manchester, Mallorca, Barcelona and London. This fueled her passion for Music resulting in a wide range of influences including Marvin Gaye, Bjork, Portishead, Bob Marley and Nina Simone. Living in New York City for the past several years has inspired her most poignant songwriting works to date. As Santessa herself puts it, 'Music is a journey for me, I follow it wherever it leads'.
