ACACIA

THE BAND THAT FELL TO EARTH

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Having promised his parent s he would go to the USA to study medicine Alexander waved goodbye to them @ Heathrow Airport, only to give them the slip and relocate to a squat to chase the musical dragon. On intoduction to Guy Sigsworth they discover a mutual interest in certain 60s artists ~ no no the Kinks or The Who, but John Cage & Karlheinz Stockhausen. As a musical student of the Harpsicord Guyhad avoided the Handel to Brahams routeand instead went forward Stravinsky & Electornics. Sounds Like: Rawk guitars crash on jungle & gamelan beats with soulful singing on an Arabian night. These are the days when ACACIA get WIRED. THe influences come from everywhere, yet this is music you can't hear anywhere else. Rules and convention are like wrapping paper - made to be ripped so you can see what's behind them. Think David Sylvian meets Kate Bush in a hip hop cafe.
