When people think of love, they think of the butterflies in the pits of their stomachs or the soft kiss on the cheek. When people think of love, they think of that special someone whispering in their ear. When Pensacola, Florida thinks of Love, they think of the 6'4" Giant that goes by the name of "Big Love." Pensacola native, "Big Love" was born Robert Love. "Big Love" is the essence of grind; notorious for his nonchalant, destined to succeed personality, he is also one of the most slept on artist on the Gulf Coast. Big Love is not your typical face of hip-hop;a former basketball player turned rapper with a college education from Ventura College in California, Pensacola Junior College and the University of West Florida. Love is also the Vice President of Independent Label, RedDott Entertainment. At the 2007 Gainesville Music Summit, RedDott was nominated for "Independent Label of the Year." The label has also been featured multiple times in Hood Magazine; Get Em Magazine, on various websites and on the Ft. Walton based Television Show, Word On The Streets. In 2006 hundreds of R&B and Hip-Hop artists came from various locations on the Gulf Coast to compete in WBLX's "Shooting Star" Competition. Big Love was the only rapper to compete in the finals. He has also had tracks "Like A Pro" or "Get Low" and First Time featured on WBLX, which rarely plays any independent artist music. Big Love has also opened for almost every national artist to grace the Pensacola stages including Trick Daddy, Trina, Webbie, Bun B, Zero, Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Juvenile, BG, Pastor Troy and a multitude of others. Love has released mixtapes Don't Hurt Em Volumes 1 and 2, The No Love Mixtape and has been featured on the Pyrex Panhandle Series. Big Love and KingPen, CEO of RedDott Entertainment and recipient of the 2008 Gainesville Music Summits "Ain't Going Home Award," are teaming up to create the Mash Squad. The Mash Squad is a project with both Big Love and KingPen sharing tracks coupled with the entire RedDott family (Dirty Dred, KZ, Kornflake and GA) along with features from both Perion and Mike Bless. The entire album is being produced by Perion and Bezzle. The singles "Whip It" will be available in the next month or so. The Mash Squad is set to be released in early fall. The streets can also be anticipating the long-awaited No Love Album. The No Love Album is going to have a little something for everyone, but it is definitely an album for the streets. With a multitude of hits to include tracks "Block to Block" and "Certified Hustler" coupled with a host of songs that relate to relationships as well as a several club bangers. In the next year or so the world will know that it is the No Love Album that is giving them the butterflies in the pits of their stomach. The kiss on the cheek is from the Mash Squad and the whisper in the ear is the sound of the most slept on artist, Big Love.
